Tree Planting in the sun!

We were delighted to take part in the February ‘Borders Act For Change Month’ organised by Scottish Borders Climate Action Network and were very lucky with the weather! We applied for a £250 grant which paid for 250 native broadleaf trees and our group of 5 more than matched this value by volunteering their time and energy to plant them all.

We teamed up with The Borders Forest Trust for a beautiful day of planting on their Gameshope Valley site. BFT own the site and are running an ambitious long-term habitat restoration project on the land. Together we planted 740 trees which will directly benefit wildlife and visitors of all ages for decades to come and we look forward to seeing them grow.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day and hope to make this an annual commitment.
